One of the primary tools that Yoga offers for cultivating more discernment is the 8 limbs.  The 5th of those limbs is pratyahara, or withdrawal of the senses. Yoga at its best is experiential. 11 Years

I hope your month and year is off to a great start! In just over 6 weeks…Yoga Blend will celebrate 11 years. When I opened Yoga Blend of course I wanted it to thrive and last forever. But 11 years? It’s funny how I just never imagined getting to this milestone. Our 10 year anniversary seemed like a number way out there in the future and when we reached it last year, it was huge! Mary Stancavage

Mary has practiced meditation, yoga, and cultivated a spiritual practice for over 30 years and in 2009 was empowered to teach Buddhadharma. Mary teaches classes, retreats and does individual mentoring. She has taught at mindfulness at recovery centers, has co-facilitated Year-to-Live groups since 2008, and has had a weekly dharma class for ten years. She completed the Buddhist Chaplaincy Program at the Sati Center and served as volunteer chaplain at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center. She served as Director of Against the Stream for ten years.
