Sommer first discovered yoga while she was immersed in the world of Contemporary Dance. Yoga offered a different was of thinking and moving and was an important part of her life and training. Sommer practiced for many years with Eoin Finn, in Vancouver, B.C. and is forever indebted to him for his teachings and playful approach to this ancient practice.
As the years passed, Sommer fell more in love with what yoga offered her body and spirit which eventually lead her to enroll in and complete the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with the wonderful and inspiring Christy Marsden.
Sommer is thrilled to be teaching at Yoga Blend and brings with her over a decade of experience teaching movement to all ages and abilities. Sommer hopes to encourage fun, light and laughter with her classes and to guide students towards greater joy – both on and off the mat.
