Owner and Teacher
I started practicing yoga in Nashville, TN in 1995 due to chronic low back pain. From the very first class I felt relief in my low back which was reason enough to celebrate since that was why I decided to try yoga but it was the mental and emotional release that came along with it that was quite an unexpected yet welcome surprise. I was eager to know more about this ancient art form so I dove deeply into learning about any kind of yoga that I could fit into my schedule.
I began teaching in 1997 and have been teaching ever since. In 2005, my husband and I opened Yoga Blend in Burbank, CA because we wanted to build a conscious community of people seeking to create a more lovable life despite the challenges that inevitably arise. We wanted to offer a safe place for people to work on themselves from the inside out with encouragement, acceptance and support.
Yoga Blend comes from my love and practice of all styles of yoga. I have attended numerous teacher trainings, workshops and intensives in a variety of styles over the years and came to the conclusion that all styles have something wonderful to offer. However, because our needs vary from day to day, week to week and year to year, one style definitely does not suit all. We are always changing and I believe in a practice that is flexible enough to adapt to our ever changing needs. To me, it’s all yoga. So I blend it up.
As a Yoga and Wellness Educator, my passion lies in helping others and I do so by offering a holistic practice to support people in navigating the many aspects of their everyday lives. I teach group classes, workshops, retreats, corporate seminars, teacher trainings at the 200 and 300 hour level as well as privately blending together many modalities, styles and teachings to allow for each student’s path to unfold in their own way in their own time.
