I hope you are doing well despite all the craziness of our world right now. I have been struggling with what to write for a few days as there is so much I am feeling and so much I want to say. But really what it comes down to in my heart is that Yoga Blend is a safe place for anyone and everyone to practice.
The work is to center ourselves and get quiet enough to look deep inside so that we can remember who we truly are. We move and breathe and chant to unite in body, mind and spirit so that we may experience our true nature which ultimately is love. Regardless of your beliefs, race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation or military status, you are welcome at Yoga Blend. As long as we all agree to fiercely practice kindness, respect, freedom and inclusion for all, then we will all have a safe place to hone our skills. The practice is hard. The practice is intense. But we are in this together.
I opened Yoga Blend because I honor diversity in all practices and in all people. We are different. We like and desire different things. So let’s all be different and continue to learn from each other and grow together. What we need now is to find unity in our diversity. We must stand up for one another, honor one another, and respect one another, no matter what. I truly believe with all my heart that love is the answer. That we are love. The more we practice looking inside and loving ourselves, the more we can share that love with others. Let’s love harder and stronger than we ever have. We are kind. We are loving. We are one.
Next month, Yoga Blend will celebrate 12 years. This year, instead of investing in a party or celebration of some sort, I have decided to liven up our space. In the middle of all this darkness, I figured it would be nice to bring in some light. We have been in our current location for 10 years and the wear and tear is starting to show. So, over the next couple of months, Yoga Blend will be getting a little spruce up. My commitment is to our community. I want to make our home even more welcoming and vibrant so we can continue to come together and practice in all our diversity for many years to come.
We will do our best to cause as little of a disruption to the classes and schedule as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we put some love into the space that we all love so much!
Be strong…be present…be love!
With infinite love and gratitude….
