The Time is Now…

What a time we are living in right now. I hope you are doing well, staying healthy and finding ways to experience joy regularly.

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind with all that is happening in the world. There is so much to say and yet I have been having a hard time finding the words.  The uncertainty around Covid 19 is palpable. The injustices that have been happening and continue to happen to our black brothers and sisters on a regular basis are outrageous. I have been listening, reflecting, learning and meditating on ways that I can be of service while also taking care of myself.  It is a difficult balancing act and I am so grateful to have a practice that guides me in finding that balance.

We each have our own unique gifts and talents to offer and it is up to each of us to do the work.  When chaos is all around us, it can be hard to get our bearings and know which direction to go.  Through a dedicated practice, we can settle the noise, not just from the outside world but also our inner world which is where all the answers reside. We just have to get quiet enough, often enough in order to hear.

First and foremost it takes a commitment and the time to commit is now.  It is so easy to put things off, wait for things to change or hope for someone else to make decisions for us. However, we are the ones we have been waiting for and the wait is over.  Now is the time.

What world do you see for yourself, your loved ones and your community?  What is your deepest heart’s desire?  Are you actively taking steps to create those desires on a regular basis?

This is where a dedicated practice becomes a lifeboat. It helps to anchor us in the here and now, gain clarity and take the necessary steps, slowly, one at a time so that the journey becomes the destination.  It is not about getting somewhere but rather about being where you are and moving from that place aligned in body, mind and spirit.

So we practice going inward every day, settling our own chaos so that we are better able to move outward into the world peacefully, with more openness, clarity, purpose, strength, and flexibility.

My vision for Yoga Blend has always been to help people with practical tools to navigate the ever changing landscape of the external world. This is still our intention to this day and moving forward. I am so grateful for this beautiful and inspirational community and I look forward to when we can practice in person again (which is coming soon, so stay tuned!!)

In the meantime, be well and we’d love to see you online. It is a great way for all of us to stay connected and practicing in such turbulent times.  Let us know if you have any problems with access by emailing info@yogablend.com.

With infinite love and gratitude…

Namaste,

Christy
