I hope this newsletter finds you safe and surrounded by your loved ones.

My heart aches at the state of our world right now. So much violence. So much pain. So much sadness. Then, in the midst of the heaviness of my heart and an overwhelming feeling of helplessness with tears burning my eyes, my 7 year old son and his 5 year buddy who is in town come cheerfully bounding out the door to say good morning and ask for breakfast. And such is the dualistic nature of this life.

As I move through the polarities of daily life, I sometimes feel overwhelmed with what to do. We all have different roles and when there is so much noise, confusion, pain and fear, it gets hard to see what that role is. Then, I remember to start with what is directly in front of me. I do my practice in order to create a state of peace inside of me so that I can share that peaceful inner state with the outer world. From that place of focused attention and peaceful calm, I am better able to see what the next step is and move forward with clarity…one day…one breath at a time.

We are in this together and I am so grateful to be a part of this amazing community where we come together to work on ourselves so we are better equipped to positively affect the world outside. Thank you for being you and for all that you do to make this world a better place.
